On the 25th of July 2019 at Lyon air base 942, the Minister of Armed Forces Florence Parly introduced the new space defence strategy.
The Ministry of Armed Forces has developed a new space defence strategy for France, based on the updated analysis of the outer space environment and its threats.
This strategy adresses three areas of focus : the creation of a great space command, the adaptation of the legal framework, the enhancement of space defense capacities.
